We are excited to feature this stunning 1966 Dodge Charger at Garage Kept Motors. This nicely optioned Mopar has been lovingly cared for under the same ownership for the last 30 years. The classic styling of this sleek fastback with crisp, full-length contours, and a full-length hood with short deck makes for a real eye-catching sporty vintage vehicle.

This car was treated to a cosmetic restoration and really presents well inside and out. The Scorch Red paint was professionally applied over well-executed bodywork and the paint has been well-maintained and shines with rich brilliance. The front and rear chrome bumpers were restored reflecting a beautiful luster. The factory stainless trim is all present and has been well-kept and polished. The Red-on-Red combination is certainly an eye-catcher with the new aftermarket Vision aluminum wheels truly sets this car a part from the rest!

Inside the red interior presents as original. The seat upholstery is soft and pliable and free of any tears or seam pulls. The carpet is well preserved, showing only some light wear on the driver's side. The factory four bucket seats are separated by an intricate factory console that runs the length of the passenger compartment. The race-inspired factory gauges include the dash-mounted tachometer, voltmeter, oil pressure, and temperature gauge all framed by the factory faux wood rim steering wheel. The factory AM radio is still in place and the dash and trim are in good condition. The trunk area has been fully carpeted and covers a solid trunk floor with the original bumper jack and a full-size spare is stowed beneath.

Under the hood sits a 318 CID V8. The engine compartment is well-kept and detailed and looks original with the factory decals present. The engine appears well maintained with a recent ignition tune-up, coolant hoses, and battery. Power is transferred through a 3-speed TorqueFlite automatic pack through the 8 ¾ Chrysler differential. The engine rumbles nicely through a fresh dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers and exits just ahead of the differential underneath the car.

The underbody is unrestored but has been very well maintained. The sub-frame and floors have been undercoated and there are no signs of any rust through. The suspension features new shocks on all four corners, a recent steering component replacement, a brake master cylinder, and a new fuel tank. This Charger features power steering with manual HD brakes.
