In 1964 the Chevrolet Impala was the 2nd highest-priced car in the Chevy line-up. With an angular and squared-off design with creased bodysides, tapered trim strip, and extended fender tops
the iconic Impala has one of the most recognizable of vintage Chevrolet models and is highly sought after by collectors worldwide. The Impala featured for sale here was fully restored 12 years ago and has been well-maintained and cared for since.

This car was painted white over well-executed bodywork. The paint was polished to a high gloss and has been well-maintained with only a few minor blemishes. The front and rear bumpers and body stainless trim have all been restored and present with a deep shine. The trunk is clean and detailed with the correct splatter paint and factory vinyl houndstooth trunk floor covering. The optional dual rear-mounted antennas and the polished chrome 5-spoke US Wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich T/A raised white letter radial tires top off the stunning exterior of this classic Chevrolet.

Inside the interior was fully restored with some subtle and tasteful custom touches. The door panels and seat upholstery were recovered in a custom stitched pattern medium blue hue. The headliner was replaced along with the carpet which is protected by a set of custom carpeted floor mats featuring embroidered Impala insignia. The interior is kept cool on those hot summer nights cruising with factory A/C. The factory radio has been converted to a Kenwood high output radio complete with AM/FM/CD and AUX input and plays through a set of 6X9 Dual DS Series speakers mounted in the rear package deck and a set of 6” speakers mounted in the kick panels.

Under the hood sits a 327 V8 equipped with an Edelbrock Performer carburetor. The engine compartment is lightly detailed sporting a chrome-open element air cleaner, and a set of polished aluminum valve covers embossed with the Bowtie emblem. A GM HEI distributor provides maintenance-free high-performance ignition and this smooth-running V8 rumbles through a dual exhaust with Flowmaster Mufflers with the tailpipes exiting out back after the rear tires.

Underneath the car presents well with rust-free floorboards and chassis. This Impala features power steering and was converted to power brakes with front discs and rear drums. The suspension was rebuilt during the restoration and has been well maintained since that time. The car comes with a thick file of receipts for service and parts documenting the complete restoration of this Chevy as well as a set of Factory Shop/Assembly Manuals.

This is a fantastic car, that is sure to attract plenty of smiles and thumbs up as you cruise the local boulevard and into the car shows. Please call if interested or e-mail with specific questions. Thanks for looking.
