The Ford Bronco had earned a reputation as a rugged and highly capable off-road vehicle since its introduction in 1966. In 1978, Ford upped their game on the Bronco switching it to a larger platform sharing the F-150 chassis and adding more luxury related options and interior design elements. While sharing many of the components and design of the F-150 it still retained its sturdy off-road capabilities and maneuverability unique to the Bronco. Featured here is a well-priced example of this popular 2nd generation design of the Bronco which proved to be one the most popular iterations of the Ford Bronco.

This 1978 Ford Bronco shown here is an overall solid vehicle that is being sold with a Salvage Title. This two-owner vehicle was first sold in Texas and later driven to California by the 2nd owner. It includes extensive ownership history supported with various documents and receipts including a detailed ownership diary and a Marti Report. The white finish appears to be an older refinish that is showing some age with a few minor dents throughout the body and some rust bubbling and minor rust holes in the fender lips and rear tailgate. The front bumper was replaced with an aftermarket heavy duty item equipped with a winch. The rear bumper is an aftermarket heavy duty tube style bumper with receiver hitch and gas can rack and swing out spare tire rack.

Inside the black interior is a full roll cage and the original seats have been updated with a set of Corbeau high back bucket seats. There are some typical signs of light wear, with the driver's seat showing some wear on the lower cushion and the armrests on the door panels showing some similar wear. The carpet is clean and appears to have been recently replaced. The dash features the factory gauges; oil pressure, temperature and amperes and a SunPro Tachometer has been cleanly installed. The factory radio has been replaced with a Kenwood unit with AM/FM with AUX input for your portable music sources. There is a rear bass box and a set of 6X9 rear speakers in the rear that have not been mounted and a set of 9” speakers are mounted at ear level in the side panels.

Under the hood sits a 351 V8. The engine compartment is undetailed but the powerplant presents as well maintained with a new MSD coil, electronic controller, spark plug wires and radiator hoses. Power is transferred through a 4-speed manual transmission and routed to the front and rear differential via a manual selected transfer case. The front axle features manual locking hubs. This

Bronco is equipped with power steering and power front disc brakes. Underneath the chassis is unrestored and the frame presents as solid with no signs of any rust through and has been lightly undercoated. There is some rust damage on the passenger side floorboard, otherwise the floors appear solid. The suspension has been lifted using a coil spring kit upfront and a set of blocks out back. Oversized BF Goodrich Mud Terrain T/A Radials tires are mounted on a set of aluminum wheels filling the wheel wells nicely accenting the lift.

This Bronco represents a great base for a restoration/resto-mod ORV. Please call if interested or e-mail with specific questions. Thanks for looking.
